I was born in Trento, Italy, in 1986.

After graduating in Classical Studies I entered the Violin-Making School of Milan (Italy) in 2007.

In 2009 I attended, together with the starting of a two-year Master in construction of string instruments, another violin making course held in Trento by M° Luca Primon, and I became his assistant until 2012.

In 2010 I won a special prize with my first viola d’amore at the 1st International Violin Making Competition of Pisogne (Brescia, Italy).

In 2011, after graduating with top marks (100/100) in Milan, I won the gold medal at the 5th National Competition of Pisogne, section “Young luthiers-cellos”, with an instrument made together with the French luthier Jérémie Bonnet.

In 2012 I attended a seminar on the preparation of oil-based traditional varnishes for string instruments, held by the French expert François Perego; in the same year I did a work experience in Antwerp with the violin maker Erik Buys, after which I decided to open my own business in Trento, mainly focusing on set-ups, repairs and restoration, with a little making.

Between April 2015 and August 2020 I became part-time assistant of the London based luthier Philip Ihle, dividing my time between Italy and UK and my work into self-employed and employee, between maintainance and making copies of fine Classical Cremonese instruments.

In December 2020 I won both the violin and viola sections at the 1st Edition of the “I Suoni del Legno” violin making Competition, organised by the Società Filarmonica of Trento.

In September 2021 I opened my new workshop in Zurich (Switzerland), where I’m focusing on making instruments and offering set-up services on high-end ones.

In the summer of 2022 I participated for the first time at the international violin making workshops of Oberlin (USA) and Brandenburg (D).

In October 2022 I made it to the finals of the violin making Competition of Mittenwald (D) with a violin built together with the friend and colleague Adam Winskill.

In November 2022 I received a Certificate for Artisanship at the VSA violin making Competition with a violin that ranked 9th over 180 instruments.
