This instrument is a copy of the Girolamo Amati “Estense” viola from 1625, displayed in the Galleria Estense of Modena (IT). LoB 409mm, clean workmanship and lightly antiqued, respecting the original’s close-to-mint condition despite its almost four centuries of age. This viola was acquired by the prestigious “Carriage House Violins” shop in the Boston area.
